About
Us |
According to the 2005-2007 US Census Bureau, there are
501,712 civilian veterans. The Veterans Administration estimates that
about 154,000 veterans (male and female) are homeless. This number will
undoubtedly increase as the Iraq war veterans return home to a
devastated economy.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), substance
abuse, serious psychological problems, and a number of other issues keep
many veterans from seeking assistance to avoid and/or combat
homelessness Once a veteran is homeless, it’s virtually impossible to
change his/her circumstances without support from others. Many
organizations focus their attention on immediate needs such as emergency
shelter, food and substance abuse treatment.
Homeland Homeless is dedicated to reach beyond the
immediate needs by providing veterans many critical and necessary
components. In order to reintegrate these veterans back into society,
our organization will provide the following: transitional housing,
vocational training, job placement, psychological evaluation &
counseling, legal assistance, substance abuse treatment, health care and
comprehensive case management.
Whether enrolled in the transitional housing
program or not, Homeland Homeless will provide services to all
veterans. Any veteran who comes to our organization will receive daily
meals, clothing and a place where veterans can receive support. It is
our belief that veterans can offer a level of support that can only be
communicated from one veteran to another.
You can also mail in your donations. Simply make checks payable to

When many young men and women join the military during wartime, they are
never the same when they return. After fighting for their country, they
come home somewhat disillusioned by the circumstances that confront
them. They are unable to secure employment, housing, and other basic
necessities of life. This has often caused many veterans to retreat into
depression. As a result of not being able to adequately function in
society, they resort to drugs believing that this will solve their
problems. Unfortunately, this only leads them down a path of further
destruction.
As a surviving veteran who has undergone many adversities, I can
personally attest to the fact that there is a great need to establish
this organization. When I was at a point of no return, another veteran
reached out to me and gave me a helping hand. Therefore, I want to
assist other veterans as someone assisted me when I was in need.
Homeland Homeless is an organization that will provide vital services
for many veterans once they return home. Our veterans deserve the best
that this country has to offer and this organization will contribute to
this dream.
"Feed
the Need" |
We also want to provide basic necessities to others in need, that's
where our monthly "Feed the Need" program started. One monthly we
provide meals to families and individuals in Compton , California.
Compton is the of the poorest communities in this great nation and our
outreach helps many to survive in these hard economic times.
